Sometimes a little change can make a big difference!
If you are trying to improve orthodontic results we provide both upper and lower frenectomies to correct both speech challenges, and improve orthodontic results. Simply put, a frenectomy is the removal of naturally occurring soft tissue.
Orthodontics: Many patients use orthodontics to bring their top two front teeth together. Some people with more naturally occurring soft tissue at the top of their mouth might be encouraged by their dentist or orthodontist to have a frenectomy to improve results, stability, and general oral health.
Speech Challenges: Some people with more naturally occurring soft tissue at the bottom of their mouth experience “tongue tie.” A frenectomy is a common procedure to untie the tongue and allow it to move more freely, resulting in improved speech and function.
